Meditec Medical signs contract with Northwell Health System

These are specialized mattresses that will be the first line of defense in preventing and treating of pressure ulcers in the Emergency Departments within their hospitals. The mattress consists of new innovative technologies which contribute to achieving this goal.
Meditec Medical Ltd. started trialing their product in a number of Northwell Health System hospitals in November 2017 and that rigorous and robust process and clinical evaluation has just been completed. Northwell Health System trialed the product with a diverse number of patients to ensure that the product met the hospital clinical requirements.

It is a huge achievement for us to win this contract. As a company, we have been very successful in the European market and are now breaking into the US market. Winning this contract from a hospital group like Northwell Health System continues to demonstrate that we are designing an innovative and very effective product to help prevent and treat pressure ulcers within an acute setting.

Meditec Medical recently donated the Mediflex Mattress along with control unit/pump to Fundacian Ayudame a Vivir (AYUVI) in Guatemala
AYUVI supports hundreds of Guatemalan children suffering from Paediatric Cancer. The mattresses sent over to be used in the hospitals ICU department. The mattresses will serve the many Guatemalan children through their treatment and the intensive care they require.
Meditec Medical signs contract with Boston Children’s Hospital

Meditec Medical today announced at the Enterprise Ireland Med in Ireland 2017 conference that it has successfully tendered for a significant contract with the Boston Children’s Hospital to manufacture and supply their Mediflex pressure relief mattresses to its entire hospital network. The contract includes ongoing technical support.
The Mediflex mattress system will assist Boston Children’s Hospital in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers in patients.
Speaking today at the Med in Ireland Conference 2017 at the RDS in Dublin, David L Walsh, Director of Boston Children’s Hospital said: “After having the opportunity to meet medtech companies through Enterprise Ireland, we became aware of a quality source and network of innovation that we had not yet tapped into and were extremely impressed with the overall quality and professionalism of the Meditec Medical team and their product offering. They exceeded any expectation we had and continue to excel. We look forward to working with the company going forward.”

We were delighted to meet with Professor Zena Moore and Urmila Victor following their presentation on the 30 degree tilt at the recent European Pressure Ulcer meeting in Stockholm, Sweden.
The presentations focused on our MediAir Turn mattress which delivers a 30 degree tilt and we look forward to introducing you to this innovative product which was designed by our own technical design team and is manufactured here in Ireland.
